The other cat in my life is Trev.
He lives with my brother and his partner. He is a contender for Herbie’s name, Trev is the biggest Love Bug around. He also came from an animal shelter, he came with the name Trevor but he only answers to Trev. He is 10 years old, they have had him for about a year now, he is an Ocicat.
He has no limits for how much love he can take, he has no concept of personal space, he loves all humans (he is a bit of a shit with other animals).
Trev is happiest when he is with his people, though mere lap sitting is not adequate. He will not tolerate divided attention. If you are trying to use the computer and Trev is on your lap, distracted patting just doesn’t cut it. He will swat at your hands, gently nibble on your chin, or sit on the keyboard. He wants all your attention and love 🙂
Trev has very definite hours that he keeps. He likes to sleep in in the morning and stays in their bed till around 10am (midday in Winter, just too cold to be out of bed!) and pops himself off to bed around 10pm. This is not to say he doesn’t sleep during the day, he does, just not in bed. Day sleeps are for around the house.
He also has a very narrow thermostat. If it is under 20 degrees he would like either a human to sleep on or a hot water bottle. If it is above 24 degrees Trev can be found sprawled on the kitchen tiles, dying.
Here is Trev having a grand sleep with my brother. Trev is very firmly an under the quilt in Winter cat. None of this relegated to the end of the bed on top of the quilt for him. Cutie pie!
